11 Jan 2010 - WhyWaste Roadshow
The Humber Environmental Network (HEN) is pleased to be involved with the Bradford Environmental Action Trust (BEAT) in supporting the WhyWaste schem in the Humber sub-region, and will be holding a unique roadshow in early 2010.
HEN is providing local support to the WhyWaste scheme in the Humber sub-region. Why Waste is a free online information service where organisations and individuals view and place information about redundant stock, surplus raw materials and waste which could be of value to other organisations.
In January a HEN representative will visit your site, explain how the system works and where possible register your materials on the exchange. All this will take no more than 45 minutes and then, for each of the following three months you will receive an update on options for the material and hopefully facilitate a successful exchange, all at no cost to yourselves.
There will be seven timeslots on the hour on each of the days, and these will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. So to register for this, you simply need to send your contact details to hen@hull.ac.uk, stating your preferred time.
